Mark Zuckerberg really has ambitions to combine the three social media applications Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Slowly but surely, the integration began to materialize with the feature of sharing cross platform posts.

WhatsApp is one of them. Now, WhatsApp Status can be shared directly on Facebook Story. Indeed, Facebook has tested this feature last June for WhatsApp beta users, before officially releasing it now.

Later a profile photo will appear complete with the privacy settings of the content used, to set who can see the story, whether public or only accounts that are friends only.

Then select "share now", then WhatsApp Status will be immediately shared to Facebook Story. Similar to WhatsApp Status, Facebook Story will only last 24 hours.

Although as if connected, but the two platforms are not interconnected simultaneously. That is, if the original WhatsApp Status is deleted, the same content will still appear on Facebook Story after sharing.

Unfortunately, specifically for WhatsApp Status in the form of a link, it won't be clickable directly on Facebook Story. On Facebook Story, the appearance will be more similar to a screenshot (screen shot) in the form of an image with text containing the link address in it.

Although it is mentioned that this feature is starting to be rolled out now, some users claim to have not got it, even though it has been updated. WA Beta Info, which often leaks WhatsApp new features, said that this feature will roll in gradually.

This inter-platform sharing feature actually has been there before on Instagram, where users can share Instagram Stories to Facebook Stories automatically.

The integration of the three platforms is indeed possible. It's just that for WhatsApp, Facebook has to think about the end-to-end encryption feature that is the trademark of WhatsApp and is not owned by Instagram or Facebook.

This feature prevents WhatsApp or other external platforms to peek conversations silently.
