After WhatsApp, now Google Play Store has also officially features a dark mode. Dark mode in Google's app store can be run on almost all versions of Android OS, both the latest to the old.
Just like appearance of dark mode in other applications, Google provides special settings to always use a dark theme or set based on time. The dark theme that is carried by Google for the Play Store is dominated by dark gray, not black. This theme also occurs in the dark mode of the Android version of WhatsApp.
In fact, according to many people, the dark mode theme with dark gray color is less preferred because it makes the eyes uncomfortable and does not maximize the benefits for saving battery power.
Ignore temporarily about color choices. If you are interested in the dark gray mode on the Google Play Store but are confused about how to activate it, you can follow the steps below:
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap the "Menu" icon in the form of three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
Look for the "Settings" menu. Then tap "Theme."
There are three options in the Theme menu, namely "Light", "Dark", and "Set by Battery Saver". Options "Light" for normal display, "Dark" to activate dark mode, and "Set by Battery Saver" to set the clock to activate dark mode automatically.
Google is rumored not only to bring dark mode to the Play Store alone, but there will be more in their applications, such as Gmail, G Drive, and others.
