The tech giant Huawei officially released the HarmonyOS operating system. This system was created to replace Android and ensure that mobile phone vendors from China continue to operate during the United States trade war with China.

HarmonyOS was built because Huawei had been hit by Donald Trump's regulations, which prohibit technology companies in the country from doing business with Huawei. Aftermath of the regulation makes them threatened that they can no longer use Google's Android operating system.

"We like Google's operating system. But if we cannot use it in the future, we can switch to HarmonyOS," said CEO of Huawei Consumer Device Unit, Richard Yu.

Then users also cannot upgrade to a newer version of Android. While Google's parent, Alphabet, issued a statement that they acted in accordance with government regulations.

"Huawei has made a major contribution to the development and growth of Android throughout the world. As a major global partner, we have a close relationship with the open source platform, to develop ecosystems that benefit users and industry," the company said.

Huawei then said it would build a secure and sustainable software ecosystem. To provide the best experience for users globally.
