Known as one of the main designers of Apple products, such as the iPhone, iPod and iOS, Jony Ive decided to no longer work for the company.
After working for approximately 3 decades, Jony Ive chose to leave Apple and form his own design company, LoveForm, with his first client, Apple.
Jony Ive himself is one employee who has worked since the beginning of Apple's formation, he was known as Steve Jobs's right hand in the past.
As quoted from Phone Arena, Saturday (06/29/2019) Ive said, "After almost 30 years and various projects being done with Apple, I am very proud of this work and the team members involved in the design process,"
"Right now, I think they are stronger, more energetic, and more talented than at any point in Apple's history. The team will definitely develop under the leadership of Evans, Alan, and excellent Jeff, who have become my closest collaborators."
The company does not immediately plan to appoint a new design head. Instead, Apple said that the design team would be led by Evans Hankey, vice president of Industrial Design, and Alan Dye, vice president of Human Interface Design. They will report all work to Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams.
