Some countries have banned PUBG Mobile games from being played. Even recently the popular game has been banned in Aceh.
Nonetheless, games are warmly welcomed in Arabic. The PUBG Mobile Competition is held at the Jeddah Season Festival which takes place from 15 June to 18 July 2018. The matches are organized by the Saudi Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports.
Meanwhile, the PUBG Mobile tournament starts on June 16-21 2019 at King Abdullah Sports City. The 20-year-old youth, Ahad Uz Zaman, won the PUBG match which was attended by 50 participants.
"I am still a student and I spend most of my time playing PUBG. My mother often scolded me, asking me why I played this game all the time. When I won this match I was happy to be able to use PUBG skills and make him happy, "Zaman said, as quoted from the Arab News page, Tuesday (06/25/2019).
Interestingly, competition is not only played by male players. Many gamers join the tournament, one of them is Lujain Mohammed (29).
"I have been playing PUBG for a year now, this is the first time I have participated in a competition," he said.
He also revealed that if he likes video games since childhood, according to him playing games cannot be released until adulthood.
Meanwhile, one of the organizers Abdulla Hazmi said if the PUBG Mobile competition went very smoothly and it made him very happy.
"I feel like this is a very good way to celebrate geekisme in Jeddah. PUBG Mobile and all popular games are here and you can find cosplayers and fans very happy here. I'm not even a gamer but I feel a good vibe around , "he concluded.
