WhatsApp provides features to make it easier for users, such as how to save WhatsApp Story or friends' WhatsApp status, without other applications or screenshots. Following Instagram, WhatsApp is now one application that is also equipped with Story-like features called 'Status'.
Apparently, WhatsApp or WhatsApp Story status can be saved without needing through screenshots or third party applications. Of course, to be able to save your friends' WhatsApp status, make sure the WA status isn't lost.
This means that WhatsApp users can save WhatsApp Story before 24 hours. Generally, WhatsApp users will take screenshots or screenshots to save WA status. You can also use third-party applications such as 'Story Saver'.
However, it turns out there is an easy way to save WhatsApp status without taking screenshots or using the help of the application. The following are easy steps to save WhatsApp status without screenshots or other applications
Open the File Manager Application
The name of the file manager application on each handphone is different.
On Samsung brand mobile phones, for example, the file manager application is named "My Files", while on the Xiaomi brand mobile application file manager is called "File Manager".
Although the application is different, the steps or ways to save the WhatsApp status are practically similar between a file manager application and other similar applications.
Click the Settings Menu
After opening the file manager application, go directly to the application's settings menu. In the "My Files" application, users can access the settings menu by clicking on the "three dots" icon at the top right of the application then select the "Settings" menu.
Activate the 'Show Hidden Files' Option in Settings
By activating this option, as the name implies, the "My Files" application will be able to display several folders and files hidden on internal storage media.
Select the 'Internal Storage' menu
After activating the "Show hidden files" option, return to the initial view of the file manager application. Here, select the "Internal Storage" menu in the "Phone" column.
Select the WhatsApp Folder
Then, after clicking "Internal Storage", the user will be presented with a list of folders and files on the internal storage media. Scroll the screen to the bottom and select the "WhatsApp" folder.
Select the 'Media' folder, select '.Statuses'
In this folder the user will find the source image or video from the statuses on the WhatsApp application. Keep in mind, to bring up the status (video or photo) in this folder, you have to see the status in the WhatsApp application first.
After the status is seen, photos or videos that are on WhatsApp status will automatically appear in the ".Statuses" folder. In other words, WhatsApp statuses that have not been seen will not appear in this folder.
Select the WhatsApp Story you want to save
Once inside the ".Statuses" folder, select the Status (photo or video) you want to save, then copy or move the file to another easily accessible folder. Please try!
