Sometimes there is a friend's status in what we intentionally mute for some reason. Can because the status is annoying or because our friends update too much status too often.
WhatsApp status is muted, meaning that you don't want to see status updates for your muted friends. Their status will not play when you open the slide status. The muted position of WhatsApp status will be below and somewhat transparent.

How To Unmute Status in WhatsApp
Resetting the Mute Whatsapp Status.
Open Whatsapp and select the Status tab.
Srool or scroll down to see the list of muted updates.
Long press the status of the friend you want to sound until the window appears below.
Press Sound.
If you don't find your friend's status muted, it's a sign your friend hasn't updated your status in the last 24 hours. Wait for your friend to update their status and do the above.
Then what about the friends' WhatsApp status that doesn't appear? It could be your friend's privacy status and make you an exception for contacts who can't see their status.
