Google's newest Operating System, Android 10 allows users to apply dark themes to the entire system. However, not all popular applications including Chrome get dark mode.
Reporting from the CNet page, Monday (09/16/2019) but the Gmail messaging application will get dark mode. Here's how to activate it in Gmail on Android 10.
1. In the Gmail app on your mobile, tap the menu with the striped icon at the top left.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the list, and tap Settings.
3. Tap General Settings.
4. At the top of the list, tap Themes.
5. Tap Dark or, if you have set a dark theme as your system default, tap the default system.
Dark mode is increasingly in demand. Before Android used it, the popularity of dark mode for applications had increased in several applications, such as Facebook Messenger, Slack and Reddit. Apple is also following the dark fashion trend, compatible iPhones and iPads will also get a dark theme with the release of iOS 13 this month.
The new version of Apple's mobile operating system will apply themes widely, ranging from wallpapers, widgets and notifications to Calendar to Messages.
