WhatsApp users on Android can now try out the fingerprint scanner feature, which is used to open the instant messaging application.

According to reports on the page, the existence of the fingerprint feature on WhatsApp Android is still not stable because it is still in Beta v2.19.221.
While xda-developers said, this fingerprint lock feature can only be used by Android smartphone owners with a minimum of Android Marshmallow OS. The second requirement, of course, the cellphone must be supported by a fingerprint sensor.
To use the fingerprint scanner feature on WhatsApp Android, users can activate it in the Settings menu> Account> Privacy> Fingerprint Lock.
After that the user will be shown the "unlock with fingerprint" option to open WhatsApp. While WhatsApp phone calls can still be received even if the application is in a locked condition.
In addition, there is also an option to determine the duration before the WhatsApp account automatically locks after closing.
